Old Woman Finds $5,000;!
No Claimant Thus Far
GHENT, Belgium (AP) A
month ago an old woman sweep-!
ing her porcb found a package
containing 250,000 francs (15,000).
So far no one has claimed the
money. Police started advertising
in Ghent newspapers Friday for
the owner. If the package goes un
claimed, the old lady can keep the
money.

Mrs. Haiti Plumb has returned
following a five-day stay in Salem
where she visited her son-in-law
and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Mack
Brown, and sons, Mack Jr. and
David, and new baby daughter,
Cynthia Elaine, born Jan. 26.
Dm Crooch, .Willamette student,
was home to spend the weekend
visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Wayne Crooch.
Beulah Lyons, Angela McCrack
en, Dolores Hansen and .Mildred
Allen were in North Bend during
the weekend to bowl for Patterson's
Breads in the Slate Bowling Tour
nament. Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Ware re
turned home Saturday night after
spending the day in Eugene as
guests of their son, Peter, at Dad's
Weekend festivities on the Univer
sity of Oregon campus.
Kernan Turntr of Coos Bay and
formerly of this city visited briefly
in Roseburg Friday evening. '
Mrs. Larry Holt left recently
for Billings, Mont., to visit for
several days with relatives and to
attend the wedding of her sister.
Mrs. Holt was one of the bridal
attendants.

Lorraine Smith, Maxine Carl and
Phyllis Wolfe, bowling for Key
stone Machine Works, were in
North Bend Saturday and Sunday
to participate in the State Bowling
Assn. tournament.
