Kathv and Jim have retnrned to Roseburg after a trip to roruana wnere they were called by the death of Lewis' fath er, David J. Lewis, who died Fri day at the age of 72 following a long illness. The funeral took place Monday. The .Lewis lamuy mem bers were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bossert, brother-in-law and sister of Vic Lewis. Mrs. R. D. Williams has returned to her home on SE Pine Street, fol lowing the last six weeks in St. Louis, Mich., visiting her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur McKee, -and family. She made the trip by stream: liner. Mrs. McKee, the former Eliz abeth Williams, is a music super visor in the St. Louis School Sys tem and her husband is with the St. Louis Post-Dispatch newspaper. Mrs. Williams, who was ill for sev eral months before going back to St. Louis, is reported much im proved in health. Warren and Mrs. Jackie Hanson and daugh ter, Dena, returned to Roseburg Sunday night after a trip to Port land. They were accompanied by the Warrens' daughter, Mrs. Gene Endicott and daughter, Lisa, who w.ere returning to their Portland home after a week's visit here. Dr. and Mrs. J. T, Dixon of Ocean- Lake were here reoently to visit their son-in-law and daugh ter, the Rev. and Mrs. H. James Jenkins. They came for the open house held by the Jenkinses to cele brate the completion of 10 years in the Methodist ministry in Ore gon. Mr. and Mrs. Jo White and the latter's daughter, Sharon Houn shell, spent Sunday at Toledo where they visited Mrs. White's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Shopp. Mrs. Shopp had just returned to her home after under going bone surgery resulting from an automobile accident which oc curred in August. She 'is recuper ating satisfactorily but is confined to a wheel chair.
