Elderly Scooter Driver Dies Of Heart Attack PORTLAND (AP) A 71-year-old motor scooter driver, Gustav Brockman, died Wednesday as lie was operating his vehicle. Death apparently was due to a heart attack. The scooter crashed into a parked car. "I warned him. I warned him time and again about that riding," said his brother, Edward, after learning of Gusiav's death. Wagner, a tractor manufacturer. Each of the wheels can be swung in a 360 degrce arc. A propeller in rear drives it through water. Wagner says it can be used in the military, construction work, survey and exploration projects and hilly farming. Family Returns To Drew Home Following Vacation In California By MRS. MILTON HAMMERSLY Mr. and Mrs. Earl Tibbetts and Peggy of Drew have returned fol lowing a week's vacation trip to California for holiday visits with relatives. They were cuesls of Mrs. Tib bells' father, T. E. Lowry; her brother and sistcr-m-law, Mr. and Mrs. Troy Lowry; and Mr. Tib betts' brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Morris, as well as other relatives, all living in the Corcoran vicinity. In Vallejo, they .were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Ridonour and In Sacramento they visited Mr. and Mrs. Grady Edgar. Mrs. Ride nnur and Mrs. Edam- are sisters of Mrs. Tibbetts. They had gen erally good weather throughout the journey. Richard and Allen Tibbetts re mained at the Drew ranch home to tend stock during the absence of their parents, who returned for the reopening of the Tiller-Drew Grade School, where Mrs. Tibbetts is hot lunch cook. McKtruies Visit Mr. and Mrs. Gerald McKenzie and daughter of Ashland, former residents of Milo and Tiller, spent New Year's Eve as guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Peterman and family. Miss LeAnn Moody, a student at Oregon State College, Corvallis, spent a few days last week with Mr. and Mrs. Ray Looncy. Eve ning callers during the holiday season were John Wheeler and De wain Brown. OSC students, and Robert Gourlcy of the state For estry Department in Corvallis. Wheeler, who has enrolled for the winter term following a European trip, recounted i highlights of his trip. The Looneys and their guests an attended syipoi at uamas val ley, v Miss Rosie Alsip, fifth and sixth grade teacher at the Tiller-Drew Grade bchool, spent her holiday vacation visiting in California. In San Bernardino, she joined her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Al sip of Monmouth, and accompa nied them on to San Diego for a visit with her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Alsip. She reported foggy, cold weather prevailed during most of the trip. Family Moves Richard Howard has withdrawn from the first grade at the local school and transferred to Days Creek, where his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Howard have moved. They formerly lived at Milo. Jim Donovan of Portland spent New Year's Day with Mr. and Mrs. John Donovan and Mike and look his mother, Mrs. Margaret Donovan, back to her Portland home following a week's visit with the John Donovans. Sinn Sorgenfrci has returned to his duties as assistant ranger of the Cow Creek District following a two-week vacation in Washing ton, visiting his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Sorgenfrei, in Snohom ish. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Clark and family have been visiting her par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Finlon, of Klamath Falls.
