Esselslrom and two daughters attended the East-West Shrine game at Kezar Stadium, San Francisco, Calif. Ac companying them to the game and home was Susie Hess who had been to Mineral, Calif, to spend the holidays with her mother. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford McKay have been to Portland to spend the holidays with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mis. Ev erett Phillips. Hedgepeih, and family of Eastside. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Coe visled with a friend of the former Find ley Shuster, who now resides in Portland. The men motored to Medford on business one day. Grants Pass Visited By Glendaie Family Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Hatton of Glendaie were dinner guests Dec. 29 at the home of her niece and her husband, Mr. and Mis. Her man King, in Grants Pass. They report that the recently born King twins, Tanya and Tina, are doing well in the incubator at the Grants Pass hospital, and that the larger of the two, Tanya, now weighs four pounds eight ounces and will prob ably be able to leae the hospi tal by the end of next week or a little later. Tina now weighs 3 pounds 14 ounces and will no doubt have to remain in the hospital longer, according to Mrs. G. B. Fox, News-Review correspondent. Larry Hager, Navy fireman and son of Mr. and Mrs. Rex Hager of Glendaie, arrived at home for the Christmas holidays on Dec. 22. He returned to San Diego New Year's day. Tom Johns of Glendaie, who has been working in Livingstone, Montana, arrived at home before Christmas time and will probably return some time this week, ac cording to when his traveling com panions, the Bob Youngs, also for mer Glendaie residents, return to Livingstone. Christmas dinner guests at the Tom Johns residence included their daughter and son-in-law. On each pass over San Nicolas Island, where the antenna is located off the coast of California, the weather satellite transmits pictures it has taken and stored during the current orbit. Within two hours, the pictures are in the hands of Navy, Air Force and civilian weather forecasters thousands of miles oway. The antnena is 60 feet in diameter. I The next session will beon Jan. 16 at 7 p.m. ' f Governor Spares Life Of Slayer COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) The life of Edylhe Klumpp, 42, con demned to die Friday for the slay ing of her lover's wife, has been spared. Gov. Michael V. DiSalle an nounced Wednesday night that "justice could not be served by her execution," and commuted (he Cincinnati woman's sentence lo life imprisonment. The announcement came afler an afternoon interview in which DiSalle questioned Mrs. Klumpp while sne was under I lie influence of a truth serum. Mrs. Klumpp was convicted of first-degree murder for shooting Louise Bergen to death and then burning her body. The slaying took place in Cincinnati Oct. 39. 1958. The burned body was found on the shore of Lake Cowan in Clinton I ounty, Mrs. Klumpp admitted the kill ing. When site was convicted of first-degree murder, she asked for a new trial. When this was denied, she blamed the victim's estranged husband. William Bergen, for the killing. Mrs. Klumpp had been living wun iiergcn. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Smith of Glendaie drove to Corvallis New Year's Day and were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Cobb, former Glendaie resi dents.
