said the men had set traps after
they noticed a number of tracks
in the area. Judging from the
tracks, there are probably at least
two more bears.
Stroke Effects
Airs. Edith AlcAIichael of Azalea,
who suffered a severe stroke sev
eral days before Thanksgiving, is
reported to be somewhat improved.
She had been in a coma until
Sunday, Nov. 27, and while she
is now conscious, she is still un
able to speak.

Bailey of Sacramento, who has
been visiting with the Booths since
Alonday, Nov. 28. drove to Look
ingglass on Wednesday to visit

Grant Neilsen, who had just been
released from the hospital in Eu
gene. Airs. Bailey was to return
to her home in California on Fri
day. Hiram Hauk of Azalea was driv
ing along Upper Cow Creek Road,
above Azalea, Alonday, when a
deer jumped off a bank in front
of his car. Hauk's car was badly
damaged in the front end by the

California following the latter's re

present "Night Must Fall," a mystery-drama,
as their next play,

The play will be discussed by
the group at their meeting to be
held Sunday, 2:30 in the studios
of KPIC, he continued. All play
ers and anyone interested in act
ing, stage craft, lighting or just
in the theater itself is invited to

A shopping excursion in the new
Lloyd's Center and a visit to the
zoo for the children were highlights
