0 Jamboree Plans Are Progressing Plans for the 8th annual buck eroo Square Dance Club's jam boree are progressing nicely. Theme for the jamboree is "Paul Bunyan" and the decoration com mittee headed by Mr. and Mrs. Carl Ruthrauff is hard at work. Others on the committee include Mr. and ills. Hairy Aston, Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Pizer, Mr. and Mrs. Cal Dawson, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Northcraft, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Friday and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Churchill. Music for the aifair to be held Dec. 4 at 1 p.m. will be furnished by Eddie Knetches and his band from Vancouver, Wash. They will also furnish music at the pre-jam-boree dance Saturday night. All square dancers are invited to both dances. Twenty eight visiting callers will be on the program for the Sundav afternoon dance. Large groups of cancers irom Areata, Mamalh Falls, and the Coos Bay area as well as from other parts of the state plan to attend. On Sunday morning from 7 to 11 the Amaranth Club will serve breakfajt in the Masonic Hall. Mrs. Leroy LaFon is preparing programs for the jamboree dance. Birthday Luncheon Given At Camas Valley Friday A lovely birthday luncheon was held at the Camas Valley home of Melba Arnold Friday afternoon, honoring Iva Ashton. The affair took place at the South Deer Creek Grange Hall. Bessie Campbell and - Norma Hatfield were in charge of the beautifully decorated hall. Color ful chrysanthemums, asters and marigolds were placed on tables and about the hall. Lorraine Wads worth played several selections on the piano prior to the Brumbachs' arrival. Others entertaining on the evening's program were Mr. and Mrs. Don Jlorberg, Alda Lee Brumbach, Bertha Patterson, Sheila Hatfield, the Pine Grove adult choir and pastor twi Mrs. Kichard Morehead. Serving the lovely three tiered cake, decorated by Mary Ellen Collison, were Mrs. Cora Collison, Mrs. Findlay and Mrs. Gilbrcath. Mrs. Van Voorst poured the coffee. Alma Lovelace was in charge of the money tree and Mrs. Branton presented the guest book. Yoncalla Club Has Social Afternoon Mrs. Ben Metz and Mrs. Jackie Lovelace graciously entertained members of the Yoncalla Wom en's Study Club in the fireplace room of the Methodist Church at Yoncalla, Thursday afternoon. Gifts for the Veterans Hospital in Roseburg were brought and will be taken down to the hospital by Mrs. Russell. Happy Hour Club To Have Lunch The Riversdalc Happy Hour Club enjoyed meoting at the lovely new mobile home of Mrs. C, M. Stark. During the meeting plans were completed for the club to act as hostesses for the Bloodmobile. Mrs. Stark served refreshments to Mrs. Dale Guiley, Mrs. R. L. Harmon, Mrs. Alvert Morene, Mrs. C. N. Downing, Mrs. W. E. Buell, Mrs. Ned Dixon, Mrs. William Bromps, Mrs. W. C. Bailey, Mrs. Ernest Trussell and Mrs. H. B. Kruse, Mrs. W. E. Buell will entertain the group at a Christmas luncheon in December.
