Wed., Nov. 23, 1960 New Research Rocket To Study Starlight WASHINGTON (AP) A re search rocket was fired 105 miles high over Virginia coastal waters today for a study of the ultravio let light of stars. The experiment, carried out by the Goddard Space Flight Center at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's Wallops Island station, was part of a broad study in rocket astronomy. The 26-foot Aerobechi rocket went up at 3:42 a.m. The propel lant charge burned for 52 seconds to carry a 228-pound instrument payload to . the planned altitude.
