Glendale Youths Involved In Minor School Accidents
MRS. G. B. FOX
School accidents sent two youths
to the Glendale Clinic recently
for medical treatment and stitches.
Charles Rieblint! Jr., 10. son of
Charles Ricbling Sr. reached under
the school fence to retrieve a ball.
A wire, hanging down, raked the
flesh as he pulled his hand back.
resulting in a 4l inch cut which
required 28 stitches.
The other accident occurred at;
the high school in the shop, when i
Phillip King. 16, son of Lancefordj
King, was changing pulleys on a
jig saw. Before he had finished
the job, another student, thinking
he was ready, started the saw.
King's hand was pulled into the.
pulley but missed the saw. He re
ceived several lacerations on nis
right middle and ring fingers
which required 11 stitches.
The Rev. and Mrs. Gerald Fox
of Glendale attended a dinner and
meeting at the Grants Past Bap
tist Church recently as representa
tives of the Merlin Baptist Church.
Members of the denominational
stale and national offices were
present to lead general and panel
discussions on the theme of the
Baptist Jubilee Advance.
Mr. and Mrs. Bud Bryant of
Yreka, Calif., are spending a few
days at their mine near Azaiea.

Mr. and Mrs. George Wenderoth
of Azalea recently spent several
dayt visiting their son-in-law and
daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Head,
at Gold Beach.
The Glenciale-Azalea Book Club
held its regular meeting at the
home of Mrs. Mike Guinan re
cently and members discussed
"Exodus" by Leon Uris. a study
of modern Israel and the forces
lying behind a modern Exodus.
The next meeting will be Dec. 1.
and the book In be discussed is
"Your God Is Too Small." bv J.
B. Phillips. The meeting will be
held at the home of Mrs. Lee
Allen of Azalea.
Mrs. iclith McMichael of Azalea.
who makes her home with her
daughter, Mrs. Hulh Barrow, suf
fered a severe stroke? recently.
She was taken to a hospital but
it was felt that she would do as
well at home under her daughter's
rare. She was conscious hut later
lapsed into a1 coma from which
she had not recovered on Friday.
Members of the family were called
home since her condition was be
lieved to be critical.
