Richard Berlin, president of the Hearst Corp., said the Knicker bocker News would continue to be published as a separate newspa per, keeping "its individual edi torial presentation of opinions" and would continue to use the Gannett News Service office. Mr. and Mrs. Willis Age and daughter, Debra. and sons, Ronny and Danny, of Roseburg, and the former's sister, Mrs. Roland Cur tis, of Beaver, Wash., spent the weekend in Medford visiting Mrs. Frank Age, mother of Willis Age and Mrs. Curtis, and who cele brated her birthday. Mrs. Age and Debra and Danny went on to Crescent City, Calif., to visit her mother and returned to their home here last night Ronnie returned to his studies at Milo Academy Monday and Mr. Age returned here late Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Carl E. Wimberlv Jr. and children, Lee and Carolyn, of Medford, spent the weekend here visiting the former's parents, Judge and Mrs. Carl E. Wimberly. Judge Wimberly has been a pa tient at Mercy Hospital the last week receiving medical treatment. Mrs. D. L. Farloigh of Redmond, Ore., arrived in Roseburg today to be with her mother, Mrs, J. B. Henslee, who underwent major surgery at Douglas Community Hospital this morning. Mrs. Far- leigh is a sister of Mrs, George L. Singleton of this city. Mr. and Mrs. James E. Judd of this city and the latter's son, William Sumner, of Tucson, Ariz., went to Salem Friday for the Rose-burg-Salem high school football game. They were joined there for the (fame by Judd's daughter, Miss Virginia Judd, who is a freshman ai ivuiauieiis uuiverouy. Mrs. Donald Morgan and daugh ter, Stephanie, and Mrs. E. E. Blazier, of Vancouver, Wash, vis ited here from Friday through Sun day with the former s parents. Mr. and Mrs. Herman Aydelott. The former's husband, Captain Donald Morgan, has just been transferred from Vancouver to Saigon, He ar rived here last Tuesday. Leyton Markley of Tacoma arrived in Roseburg Friday by plane and remained over Satur day visiting the former's parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. L. Kidder, and with his brothers, Stanley Rast Kidder, second secretary of the Embassy of the USA, who is here en route to Saigon, and Robert P. Kidder, and family. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Rast Kidder and daughter, Sarah Ann, are spend ing two weeks here, before leaving for Saigon. They arrived here last week from Washington D. C, where Kidder has been with the State Department for the last sev eral years. Mr. and Mrs. Jamtt Aiken of this city were in Salem Friday for the Roseburg-Salem high school football game and Saturday were tugene tor tne university ot Oregon football game and home coming lestivities. Aiken is a for mer football coach at the Univer sity of Oregon. Charles James Loveland. son of Mr. and Mrs. Lauren Loveland, is being cared for by his grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice J. Newland and Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Brent, this week, while his mother is in the hospital. The Lovelands became the parents of a son, Thom as nunam, Dorn Saturday, uct. 15, at Mercy Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Geddes and daughters Carole and Paula, went to Salem Friday for the Salem Roseburg high school football game, after which Mr. and Mrs. Geddes and Paula went on to Port land to spend Saturday. They stop ped over in Eugene Saturday for the University of Oregon home coming football game, before re turning here. Alexis S. Orloff of Roseburg was in Eugene Sunday to attend a state board meeting of Natural Food Associates, a non - profit organi zation dedicated to help get the kind of food needed for good health and to educate one to the values of natural foods grown on fertile soils. The distaff side of the group provided a potluck luncheon. Or loff was accompanied to the meet ing by his wile. Mr. and Mrs. William Welch and daughter, Penny, and twin sons. Bill and Bob, of this city attended the Roseburg-Salem high school football game in Salem Friday night and then went on to their former home in Beaverton, Ore., for the weekend, Mr. and Mrs. Welch have recently comoleted their new home In Kidgewood. Welch is a new vice president for Pacific Plywood, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Elliott of this city were in Salem Friday night for the Roseburg-Salem foot ball game. Mrs. Noble Goettel of Roseburg and Mrs, Faye Holly of Medford, formerly of tins city, left Monday for Oceanlake to enjoy a. stay at Surftides. Mr, end Mrs. Ron Frashour, Mr. and Mrs. William Cooke and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kern of Roseburg were in Eugene Saturday for the University of Oregon homecoming looiuau game. Audisio, known as "colonel Va- lerio" in partisan and postwar days, many times has declared he shot Mussolini to death in 1945 as the Duce was trying to escape to Switzerland. He said he did so on orders of the Partisan Central Committee. A Communist since 1931, Aud isio was elected to the ltlanian Parliament in 1948 and re-elected in 1953 and 1958.
