Clendale Logger Recently Suffers Injury To Shoulder

ley PTA president, reports that
lira. Ed Dahl has been appointed
chairman of the PTA sponsored
Well Baby Clinic for the coming
vear. Time for the first clinic ex
aminations and other details will
be announced in the near future.
Mrs. Doris Lamm has been
elected secretary for the coming
year, to replace Mrs. James Nel
son who has moved from the area.
A total of $137.00 was gained at
the recent scholarship dinner nnH
home of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Battles
were Edith Mitchell and Gladys
Tran of San Jose, Calif.
Spending a few days the past
week at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Al Schaffer was William Silver of
Burui.uk, Calif. He is the brother
to be present to elect new offi
cers for the coming year. A check
for $77 was recently presented to
the organization for its booth en
try at the Douglas Counly Fair.
Dick Turley sent a letter of con
gratulations to the group and
thanked them for their' entry.

Leonard A. Baalman of Glen
dale, employed by the Berry lag
ging Company now in the Mule
Crek area, recently slipped
and fell while setting chokers. He
struck his right shoulder on a log,
resulting in acute bursitus.

Chaplain H. A. Pryor of Camp
White was the guest speaker at
the Clendale Soullvew Baptist

Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Barr of
Youngslown, Ohio, visited recently
with Mr. and Mrs. Willard Booth
and other members of the family

Eugene spent several days last
week visiting at the home of his
brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and
Mrs. Hiram Thrush, and at the
home of his nephew, Dave Thrush,
and family.

Girl Enrolls
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Dahl took their
daughter, Janice, to Corvallis last
week where she enrolled as a
freshman at the Oregon Stale Col
lege. She will be a resident of
West Hall.
The regular meeting of the Cam
as Valley Juvenile Grange will be
held Oct. 7 at 7:30 p.m. at the,
Camas Valey Grange Hall. A 1 1
