Mrs. Ethel Kennerly is back in
Roseburg after a trip to Klamath
Falls to visit relatives.
Mrs. Frank Brundige and Mrs.
Herbert Morrison of Koseburg and
Mrs. Harmon Page and Mrs. Al
bert Brundige of Sutherlin were in
Eugene last week to attend to busi
ness matters.
Mr. and Mrs. DsVsrne Cutter of
Leavenworth, Wash., are visiting
at the Hoy Mitchell home for an
indefinite time. Custer is a brother
of Mrs. Mitchell. They will visit
in Klamath Falls at the Bernie
Gathard home Wednesday. Mrs.
Garthard is a niece of the Custers.
Mr. and Mrs. George Marion
and baby son, Stephen Anthony, of
Fort Lewis, Wash., have returned
north, following several days here
attending to business and visiting
Mrs. Marion's mother, Mrs. Har
old K. W. Peterson, who is a pa
tient at Douglas Community Hos
pital. Hi again! Our pop is the only pop
that's proud of being called POP.
So I looked "pop" up in Web
ster's. It says "Any carbonated,
non-alcoholic beverage: so called
from the sound produced when the
cork, now generally replaced by
a bottle cap, was removed from a
bottle." The sparkle alone in Sprig
qualifies it to be called POP. Taste
its light new flavor. Get the pop
feel from the high light cham
pagne sparkle.
Sprig put the POP In POPular.
Webster's says about "Popular"
"Very well liked by one's friends
and acquaintances." That's new
Sprig pop very well liked by
one's friends and acquaintances.
Try Sprig on the gang. It will
make them pop, as Webster says
again "to move, go, come, etc.
suddenly and quickly, and usually
unexpectedly."
Sprig will give you get-up and go.
To be peppy, poppy and popular,
get with Sprig pop. It's the pop for
your next pop nop. you it be more
popular than ever before. Gee,
what a pitch for Sprig! I just can't
help it. It makes me pop off. SO
'bye now!

Crosby Brothers
In Clean Sweep
HOLLYWOOD (AP) Now that
the Crosby brothers have made it
a clean sweep four marriages to
four Las Vegas showgirls it's
time for some research on this
phenomenon.
I managed to corral three of
the wives for a panel discussion.
It wasn't easy. They were busy
with their own growing families,
plus their husbands' opening at
Ciro's Thursday night, plus a par
ty to welcome the latest member
of the sorority. She is statuesque
Barbara Stuart, Flamingo, class
of 'HO, who wed Gary this month.
Reading from from left to right,
our panel consisted of:
Mrs. Philip Crosby, the former
Sandra Drummond, 22, Tropicana
'58. a slender brunette.
Mrs. Dennis Crosby, the former
Pat Sheehan. 28, Tropicana '57, a
vivacious blonde.
Mrs. Lindsay Crosby, the former
Barbara Fredrickson, 23, Desert
Inn, '59, a quiet honey-blonde.
First question: Why do Crosby
boys go for Las Vegas girls?
"Coincidence," replied Pat.
"Things just happen. I met Den
nis, and I introduced his twin
Philip to Sandra, who was work
ing in the same show."
"Actually," Sandra added, "It
was accidental. I was only in Las
Vegas for a year. None of us
staved there very long."
"Furthermore," Barbara re
marked, "I met Lindsay in Los
Angeles, where I was appearing
with Tony Martin's act."
But the legend dies hard and
will be sustained by jokes from
Bob Hope. The girls laughed over
the circumstances of Gary's suc
cumbing. When he played Las
Vegas recently, the chorines did a
number called "We're Gunning for
Gary," since he was the sole re
maining bachelor. Among the girls
aiming a pistol was his present
bride.
The younger brothers now form
a trio. What's to stop it from be
comig a sextette?
"Us," said Pat. "No interest."

He knocked on a door. The home

His customer was Mayor Abe
