Labor Party Wins" Swedish Elections STOCKHOLM, Sweden (AP) -Sweden decided Sunday to march ahead to a care-for-all welfare state under the command of So cialist Premier Tage Erlander. General elections to the nower. ful second chamber of the Swed en Parliament gave the head of the world's oldest Labor govern ment a strong vote of confidence. Preliminary figures showed the Social-Democratic Labor party, which has dominated the Swedish Parliament since 1932, outpolled tne conservatives and Commu nists. Central campaign issues were: 1. The 4.2 per cent turnover tax imposed by the government to pay for the steadily rising costs oi me social wellare system. 2. The compulsory pension bill adopted by Parliament last year, which will give every Swede, re tiring at age 67, 65 per cent of his average salary during his 15 best working years. flih If, t i ' ,; m 4 J - 1 ! mm,, 4 Death Claims Former Linn County Sheriff ' SALEM (AP) Hillis A.
