Mr. and Mri. W. R. Holbrook
left Tuesday for Milwaukee, Wis.,
to visit with Mr. and Mrs. M. M.
Nelson, former Roseburg residents.
They will be gone for three or four
weeks, traveling leisurely by car.

Mrs. Robert Gtmmall and Dan
nv Young, both of Portland, and
Mist Rosemary Ashley of Dayton,
Wash., have left for their homes
after a week's visit here with Mrs.
Gemmell's son and daughter-in-law,
Mr and Mrs. Danny Mctauley.
Rosemary is McCauley'a cousin
and Danny is his nephew.
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Williams and
son visited during the weekend in
Hood River at the home of .Mrs.
Williams' parents, Mr. and Mrs.
IJovd Louderback. Kathy and Rho
da Williams, who had been spend
ing a week with their grandpar
ents, returned to Hoseburg with
Uieir parents.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Mav returned
home Monday after spending three
days at their floathouse at Silt
coos Lake. Guests of the Mays
at SUtcoos were her brother and
sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. H. H.
Harper of Cooa Bay; Mr. and Mrs.
Eugene Seeley and son, Roger, of
Portland; and Mr. and Mrs. Mac
Wood of Roseburg.
Mr. and Mrs. David Jackson,
who have been honeymooning in
Yellowstone National Park, Jack
son Hole and at Denver and Colo
rado Springs, Colo., returned here
Monday and visited their respec
tive parents. Mr. and Mrs.. Elton
V. Jackson and Mr. and Mrs. E. V.
Ixjrenzen, and today left for their
home in Burns, Ore.
Mrs. Francis Hbrf and small
son, Gregory, of this city went to
Eugene today, where the latter un
derwent surgery at Sacred Heart
Hospital. While they are in Eugene
the Heberts' younger son, Steven,
is being cared for by his maternal
grandmother, Mrs. Louise Weae
man. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Partisan
and Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Burr
of this city were in Portland over
the weekend to attend the football

Northamoton and was graduated
from Amerest College and Massa-
chusettes Institute of Technology

and family have returned to Rose
burg following a three-day visit in
Hood River with Airs. Huddlcslon s
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Ioud
erback. Their son, Darwin Huddle-
ston, came back with his parents
after a week in Hood River visit
ing his ffrandoarcnta. Jovca Linson
who had been staying a week with
her brother-in-law and sister, the
J. R. Huddlestons, returned to Hood
River when they made the trip.
Miss Gertrude Linson accompanied
the Hudlestons to Roseburg and
plans to remain here while seeking
employment.
