They visited Mrs. Mary McEwen at Vallejo, two uncles and aunts, Mr. and Mrs. James Corley and Mr. and Mrs. Sain Walker, and their families at Watsonville, and Lilly Golden at Bellflower. The family also spent nne day at Dis neyland and another at Knott's Berry farm. Lake Visited Mr. and Mrs. Menzie Lee ac companied by Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Burke, of Myrtle Creek took a trip to Crater Lake last week. Mr. and Mrs. Pete Raphael and two sons and Mrs. Mary Welty of McClary, Wash, spent several days last week visiting the latter's son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Francis Welty, and family. They also visited their niece, Jackie Morgan, at Melrose. Bill Welty retutned to Washington wilh them for a visit. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Russworm and family have returned home after a month spent in the south west. They visited her sister. Mrs. R. W. Lewis and family in Clovis, N. M. In Burnet, Tex., they were houseguests of his brother, Nolan Russworm, and family and visited his father, J. E. Russworm. Atj Plainvicw, Tex., thev visited her sister. Mrs. L. D. Usher and in Houston, Tex., they visited his sis ter, Mrs. Sam Ferguson, and fam ily. They also visited his mother. Mis. J. E. Russworm, and toured the battleship. "Texas." Another of his sisters, Mrs. Homer Crow, wno jives in san Antonio, lex., was also visited. They completed their vacation at Mangum, Okla., with two of her brothers, Dclmar and Frank Gable, and their families. and children, Jan and Ricnard, of Eugene, visited in Roseburg this week for a short time at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin G. Young on Hawthorne Drive. Mrs. Kennedy is a daughter of the late D. S. Baker, original settler and first owner of the grist mill at Oakland, which was purchased by Young's grandfather, E. G. Young, in 1854. .Mrs. Kennedy and Edwiu G. Young are cousins. Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Albright re turned to their home in Roseburg Tuesday, following a two weeks va cation trip. They stopped over in Seattle a few days and Mrs. Al bright enjoyed a visit with her three sisters at Emumclaw, Wash., at the home of her sister, Mrs. Walter H. Davis. Other sisters coming for the reunion were Mrs. E. H. Peterson of Oroville Wash., and Mrs. R. O. Dacdo, oPDuluth, Minn. Mr. and Mrs. Albright stop ped over in Portland to visit their daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Wernsing, and family, and with friends be fore returning home. Mr. and Mrs. O. R. Petersen are back at their home on SE Over look, following a few days vaca tioning at Oceanlake, where they were joined by their daughter-in-law, Mrs. Orval Petersen Jr., and her baby daughter, Elizabeth Ann, of Great Falls, Mont., and her mother, Mrs. Robert Mautz, of Portland. Mrs. Petersen Jr. and baby had gone to Portland for the wedding of Jim Hyland and Lucy Baldridge Saturday. She will take the plane back from Portland to Great Falls, where her husband is stationed at Malstrom Air Force Base.
