State Board Okays Consolidation Plans SALEM (AP) The state Board of Education approved Thursday four reorganization plans for school districts. It would set up these adminis trative districts: Benton County Comprising ter ritory included in the Bell Foun tain, Irish Kend, Monroe and Al pine districts. Hood River Setting up one dis trict in the city of Hood River, and the other for the rest of the county. Present district boundar ies would he unchanged. Washington Consolidating the Tigard and Sherwood Union High School districts. Before districts are formed, they must get Hie approval of the vot ers. The board's action makes it possible to hold such elections. Jobless Fraud Probe Funds Being Sought SAI.KM (AP)-The federal gov ernment will be aked to keep on suing money to the stale Depart ment of Kmplnyment for investi gation of fraud among elaunents for unemployment insurance, Dav id 11. Mark Hat field asked the state Public Wel fare Commission here to improve it procedures m paying hospitals for care of welfare cases. He said that the commission pays only 69 per cent of the cost of hospital care, forcing the hos pitals to pay the post.
