Kefauver WASHINGTON ( AP) - The FBI (aid today it is investigating re port! that anonymous political pamphlets are being circulated in Tennessee attacking Sen. Estes Kefauver. The investigation followed com plaints to the Justice Department's Civil Rights Division that unsigned circulars had appeared in that state containing critical material based on Kefauver's votes in fa vor of the 1957 and 1960 civil rights laws. Kefauver, a one-lime bidder for the Democratic presidential nom ination, is now seeking renomina tion fur a third Senate term in the Tennessee Democratic pri mary Thursday. The department, which acted with the concurrence of the State Department, said the action was taken to make sure there is an ample supply of sugar in this country and to deter price in creases. The Philippines received an ad ditional allocation of 66,671 tons, Mexico 34.088 tons, and British West Indies and British Guiana, 22,765 tons. The allocations are in addition to quotas previously allocated to those countries. Cuba in the past has supplied about one-third of this country's sugar needs, but President Eisen hower slashed Its quota by 700,000 tons under the 10 sugar act. They report excellent fishing for cut-throat and rainbow trout, horseback riding and swimming. This was the third annual visit of the Unruh family to this guest ranch. They were accompanied as far as Prairie City and back by Mrs. Edith B.nley of this city, who enjoyed the week visiting her son, Ben. Mr. and Mrs. Cat Dawson and children returned Saturday Irom a vacation trip spent at Breitenbush Resort, Elk and Todd Lakes. Near Todd Lake they were allowed to spend a day and a half watching a television show on location. The set " Have Gun Will Travel" star ring Richard Boone, western star. as Paladin, is spending about three weeks in the area and making six shows. The show they saw in the making was I he Road and will he seen over KOIN in September. The story about the group on loca tion was featured in Monday's Or- egoman. They met many of th actors and found them most inter esting and hospitable, including irevor miraeue, a real old timer in me business. H. H.
