Camille Eliefson, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Lee Eliefson, broke
her left arm in two places while
visiting her aunt, Mrs. Roy I.,
llouch Jr. in Grants Pass. Camille
was climbing the ladder which
leads into the llouch family's swim
ming pool when she slipped and
fell hack to the ground.

Happ were the former's brolher-in-law

ford Gold, and daughter, Deanna,
and son, Ronnie, of Bradfielcl, Mo.
As this was the Golds' first trip
lo Oregon the two families drove
lo various points of interest, in
cluding a trip to Craler Lake. They
also spent a day deep sea filling
near Winchester Bay.

Bean Picking Now Underway
At Garden Valley Residence

Bean picking has begun at the
Arola patch in Garden Valley.
Eight large freight boxes were
i picked the first day and hauled
to Roseburg to be shipped to a
i cannery in Woodburn. A total of
116 pickers are registered.

Mr. and Mrs. H. Miller and Bill
and Eddie went to Areata, Calif.,
to attend the Lumberman and Log
gers Jibilee. Miller entered the
contests but was handicapped with
an injured arm he received at the
Albany Timber Festival.
Mrs. Sig Madson and her sis
ter, Mrs. Louella Devoe, of Cas
per, Wyo., recently spent two days

pital in Eugene due to complica
tions following an operation. His
molher is staying in Eugene to be
near him. His father and sisters
and brother visited him over the
past weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Ritchie will
be honored with a bon-voyae pic
nic at the Ray Young home Friday
at 6:30 p.m. All community friends
are inviled to come. The Ritchies
will leave in August for Scotland.

ducted business in Portland and
took their grandchildren Susan and
Gail Breen, to the latter's home
at Chehalis, Wash.

recently went to Portland lo visit
their son, Terry Lee, at the Shrine
