Walter Norblad that the Democrats are "running on a program of praise for the Russians." He said the Kennedy-Johnson slate is a "hybrid ticket which is backward in all respects." Scott also charged that the Democratic convention "ignored the rights of the little fellow. "The Democratic Party gave an outstanding imitation of dictator ship i;i their convention and they will now try to convince the voters of this country that they are tre mendously interested in the little people." He added that Vice President Nixon "would break up the cold, efficient Kennedy organization by campaigning on the facts and record of the Eisenhower admin istration and the record of the Democratic Party." Party officials said the break fast raised $1,000 for Norblad's campaign. Scott left here for a press con ference in Portland, and then flew to Coos Bay for a noon luncheon. Mrs. Green Praises Strong Demo Ticket LOS ANGELES (AP) Rep. Edith Green (D-Ore) says the combination of John F. Kennedy for President and Lyndon B. John son for vice president will give the Democrats "the strongest pos sible ticket" this fall. Mrs. Green, chairman of the Oregon delegation to the Demo cratic National Convention, said this while conceding ' it may be hard for some Kennedy people to "turn around" and accept John son, too. She said they should forget things said and done during the pre-convention campaign, as Ken nedy did in asking Johnson to be his running mate. Mrs. Green said Johnson, 51, should appeal to those voters who felt that Kennedy, 43, was too young. "I don't buy that," Mrs. Green said, "but for those people who feel that way. Sen. Johnson will provide maturity." She praised Johnson's ability to get things done and said this fa cility could be a "real asset" in getting southerners to work for putting a substantial number of electoral votes in the Democratic column in November. Mrs. Green said the selection of Johnson as Kennedy's running mate also will mean "a real good session of Congress" when it re convenes in August. She said Kennedy and Johnson will give the Democrats "a new imago" of unity. Ike, Anderson Will Discuss Spending Cut NEWPORT, R. I. (AP) Presi dent Eisenhower and Secretary of the Treasury Robert B.
