Hatfield Wants Aid For Bright Students GLACIER NATIONAL PARK (AP) Gov. Mark Hatfield of Oregon said Monday he hopes to see Oregon start offering state scholarship aid to bright students who need financial help. Hatfield made his statement at a discussion on education at the annual governors conference. He was one of six discussion leaders on the topic. The Oregon governor also was selected to draft the stand Repub licans would like to see the confer ence take on medical aid to the elderly. His draft will go before the 14 Republican governors here, and after review, to the resolu tions committee of the conference.
