Sketches above illustrate three ways va cationers can make sure they don't come home to art over stuffed mailbox or a lost letter. Air Force Seeks Reason For Titan Explosion CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. (AP) The Air Force today sought the cause of a small explosion on a Titan missile that caused Cape Canaveral's first missile accident fatality in 10 years. Joseph G. Sibole, 24, a techni cian, was killed Tuesday when a tiny explosive charge blew up and ignited a flare package attached to the side ot the intercontinental range rocket. Nine other men re ceived minor injuries. Sibole and the others were con- ducting a systems' check of the Titan on a service tower platform about half-way up the 98-foot length of the rocket. Sibole was standing near the flare package when it erupted. The explosive charge, called squib, is used to blow the door off a cornpartment which houses the package of flares after the missile is air-borne about a minute. i i Damage to the Titan was con fined to a small area around tht compartment. GEORGE EDES Fourteen members of the Yon calla Livestock 4-H Club took a lour to Eugene recently which took them to KVAL Television Station, Darigold Creamery, and David son's Bakery. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Russell and Mrs. Roy Dodd Jr furnished trans portation. The Russells are lead ers of the club. The club members were able to watch the shooting of a program at the TV station. At the cream ery, the guide explained prices and the development of milk products. Local delegates attending were Mrs. Neil Kaser of the CU Chap ter and past state president; Mrs. John Todd, president of the BI chapter; and Mrs. A. J. Ellison, president of the CU chapter. One of the convention highlights was the announcement that nine scholarships totaling $3,155 have been awarded to Oregon girls. Six were scholarships to Cottey, PEO Sisterhood College in Nevada, Mo., which is offers a plan for study abroad. PEO has 110 chapters in Oregon which contribute to all its educational projects.
