Louis cardinals in mid May, is known as a strike-out ar tist. In 1958, his first year in pro ball, he fanned 174 in 132 innings with Winnipeg in the Northern League. In 1959 with Omaha in the American Assn., Sadecki fanned 175 m 132 innings. The Chicago White Sox had a 13-9 edge over the Yankees in 1959.. Billy Pierce won four times and Bob Shaw and Early Wynn three times each. Babe Ruth hit 17 home runs in September when he hit his record number of GO homers in 1927. - HOWARD WAS A CADDIE MILWAUKEE (AP) Slugger Frank Howard of the Los Angeles Dodgers is well known to Milwauk ee Manager Charlie Dressen. in the spring of 1958, Howard caddied when Dressen, then a Dodger coach, played golf. "He'd handle that golf bag like it was a tooth pick, " says Dress en. "You couldn't find a nicer kid anywhere." Howard recently hit a grand slam home run off Brave pitcher Bob Buhl on a 3-1 pitch. It beat Dressen's team 6-4. Russ Kemmerer, Chicago White Sox pitcher, beat the Yankees three times in 1959 as a member of the Washington Senators.
