Police Assailant Killed In Chase Child Guidance Clinic Thurs., June 2, 1960 The News-Review, Roieburg, Ore. 3 Cuban Gunmen Fire At Auto Gets Big Rotary Grant PORTLAND (AP) The Port land Rotary Foundation has an nounced a $20,000 grant to the Child Guidance Clinic if Portland. Ralph Stratford, president of the foundation, said the money will be used to replace outmoded fa cilities of the clinic, a United Fund agency that treats children with severe psychological problems. The Rotary Foundation is a 10-year-old organization that has made contributions to several agencies in recent years. SEATTLE (AP) Immediate expulsion of Frank Brewster from Seattle Teamsters' Union Local 174 has been demanded by George Cavano, secretary-treasurer of the local. Officers Jack Rummel, 50, and David Usrey, 28, halted the speed er on U.S. 99. As Rummel walked to the car, shots rang out and he fell with bullet wounds in the chest and left wrist. The car roared away. Rummel staggered back to the patrol car, and Usrey took up the chase toward Bakers field. Police said the patrol car drew abreast of the other vehicle and both officers fired several shots. The fugitive auto crashed Into the patrol car and overturned. Rummel was in good condition today.
