Rosehura, Ore. 11 By PHEBE McGUIRE SP S Paul Holteen is visiting his wife and baby and his mother, Mrs. Fran Holteen, ol Winston. Holteen was called from his sta tion in Karlsruhe, Germany, where he is stationed with the Armed Forces, because of the serious ill nss of his small daughter, who is reported as recovered. Holteen plans to return to his base June 1. ' Mother Visits Mrs. Jean Crossman of Ely, New, is visiting her daughter, Mrs. Gale Benson, and family: She will re main for the summer. Other recent guests in the Benson home were Mr. and Mrs. Don Kumbick from Ely, Nev. Mrs. Kumbick and Mrs. Benson are sisters. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Sportsman and family have moved from their residence on Civil Bend Ave., to their recently purchased home on tarrou bi., in Winston. Mrs. Clifford White and Mrs Jean DeVore of Winston have re turned home after participating in me west coast Howling Tourna ment held in Vancouver, Wash. Mrs. DeVore played on two teams, Lowell's Fashions and Clark's Stu dio. During their stay in Vancuuv er several trips were taken to Portland. . ; Gilman Returns ' Dave Gilman. who is stationed at Fort Belvoir, Va.. has returned to his base after spending the past two weeks with his wife and daugh ter. Donna Sue. and his parents,' Mr. ana Mrs. Harold unman, in Dillard. Mr. and Mrs. A. W. McGuire visited friends in Eugene and Sa lem over a recent weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Dame and daughter, Jo Lynn, have returned to their home in Anaheim. Calif.. after spending the past two weeks visiting Mrs. Dame s parents, Mr and Mrs. Arthur Kobernik, and brother, Nick Kobernik. and fain ily. During their stay in this area they were honored by a number of social events and outings, winch included fishing trips by the men to Winchester, Sutton Lake and Clear Water and a family gather ing at the home of Mrs. Dame's grandmother, Mrs. Caroline L. Harding, in Trail.
