The guest of honor was seated in a chair decorated with crepe pa per and balloons. One balloon fill ed with confetti, was popped dur ing the course of the evening, ex ploding its festive contents over the guests. Games were played, with Mrs. Libbv Ester, Mrs. Betty Brady and Miss Nellie Woolerie winning prizes. The serving table was decorated with a bowl of rhododendrons and lilacs, flanked on either side by yellow candles in attractive hold ers. The hostesses, Mrs. Paul Schimp, Mrs. Dick Darrow and Mrs. Gerald Brady, served refresh ments after the honoree had open ed her many lovely gift;. Coos Bay Club Is Entertained Members of the Coos Bay Golf and Country Club were guests at a dinner given by members of the Roseburg Country club Saturday night at the Roseburg Club. Coos Bay golfers were in Rose burg for the annual Rosehurg-Coos Bay golf tournament, which was held Sunday. May 21 Convention Date Further preparations for the Re bekah convention to be held in Canyonville May 21 were made at the meeting of Bertha Rebekah Lodge in the TOOF hall, with Mrs. John Terry, N. G., and Mrs. Leon ard Clifton, V.G., presiding. Mrs. Raymond Carson was in stalled as conductor, replacing Mrs. Robert Hinkle in that office. Mrs. William Preston and Mrs. Gordon Clark served refresh ments. Installation Held By Umpqua HEU On Tuesday Umpqua Home Extension Unit met Tuesday at the Oakland home of Lola Haines for installa tion of officers conducted by Mrs. Neil Burpee. Corsages were pre sented to new officers, who in, elude: Evelyn Karlinger, chair man; Olive Koozer, vice chair man, and Lola Haines, secretary treasurer. Outgoing officers Mrs. Thomas Sutton, Ruth Bunch and Mary El len Timm were also presented with corsages. Piano Students Perform At Two Lovely Recitals Mrs. Walter Marnsok presented her third and fourth groups of pi ano students in two recitals Sun day afternoon and evening at her home at 2723 NE Douglas. All pieces were played by memory and were very well performed. Guests and parents were present for the two affairs at which spring flowers were used in decoration. Mrs. Marosok was assisted in serving in the afternoon recital by Mrs. A. R. Sheets and Mrs. Axel Skoog. In the evening recital Mrs. Merrill Tozier. Mrs. Don Bailey.
