Disease Of Babies Due For Corrective Effort PORTLAND (AP) One per cent of all cases in mental institu tions today are there because of a disability known .as phenylken tonuria. The state Board of Health said here that a simple test given to a baby at the age of four months will reveal if the disabiltiy exists. Dr. Richard H. Wilcox, state health officer, said if it exists it ran be eliminated by a special diet for the child. He said a state-wide program has been launched to detect and cure any cases that exist.
