Those elected were Mrs. Frela Karcher, president; Mis. Nellie Hose Richards, vice president; and Mrs. Alda Brumbach. secretary treasurer. Mrs. Gen Paulson will nerve as publicity chairman. Mrs. Brisbane, formerly of Scot land, was guest speaker. The mem bers met lor a luncheon with the menu including various Scotch dishes. Improvement Reported i.arry A. Fuller is confined lo his home with a ease of blood poison ine. His condition is reported as satisfactory. Others ill in the community are Wanda Malhis, who has been ab sent from school this week with (he flu; Mrs. McGinnis. who is con fined to Community Hospital with pneumonia; and Susan Hill, who is confined to her home with I hip injury. Susan threw her hip out of joint when she slipped from the horse which she was riding. Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Meisner of Portland visited in the home of their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Hodney ileisner, over a recent weekend. R. E. Kirkland and cousin, Mrs. Bess West, traveled to Blue River over a recent weekend, where they visited Kirkland's ton, Frank Kirk land, and family. Mother Visited Mr. and Mrs. Bill Zimmerman and children drove to Houser re cently to visit the latter's mother, Mrs. Myrtle Wright. Relatives visiting the D. W. Car tor family are, Mr. and Mrs. C. Fasley and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Triest and children of San Jose, Calif. Dr. and Mrs. I.eland Van Allen and daughter, Tamara. drove to Portland last week where he at tended a dental study clinic and .Mrs. Van Allen and Tamara shop ped. .Mr. and Mrs. Graham Wilkins and children of Coos Bay were overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. rrank Jiobinette last week. Loorwyi Fish Mr. and Mrs. Selmar Looney and children drove to Charleston re cently, where they spent a week end at their cabin. Vivian and Galen enjoyed fishing. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Gillian of Tiller were callers at the Roy Hatlield home last week. Gillian and Mrs. Hatfield are brother and sister. Mrs. Edna Zimmerman spent a recent weekend at Noli where she was a guest of Mr. and Mrs. Chet Mathews. Audifing Committee Report Given At Recent Scotts Valley Meeting By MRS. GEORGE EOES At a recent meeting of the Scotts Valley PTA, it was reported by the auditing committee that the books have all been audited. Mrs. Marvin Thompson installed the new officers for the coming year and Mrs. Barley Bowman presented a past president's pin Interior Dept. Submits Agate Dam Program PORTLAND (AP) The In terior Department said Wednes day a report on a $1,81)2,000 south west Oregon project has been ap proved for submission to other interested federal agencies and the state of Oregon. The project is the Agate Dam and Reservoir, part of the Talent division of the Rogue River Ba sin development near Medford. 11 involves construction of an earth fill dam on Dry Creek to create a 4.600-foot reservoir, a diversion dam on Antelope Creek, and canals. to the retiring; president, Mrs. Ra phael Wise. The group decided to sponsor a spaghetti dinner May 3 in the school lunch room in order to add funds to the treasury. Room count was won by Mrs. Brant's room. Mrs. Standafor pre sented a program of musical selec tions by pupils of the school. Taacher Visits Miss Zola McDougall, a teacher at Bend, spent a recent weekend visiting with her father, Henry Mc Dougall, of Yoncalla. Bill Lasswell, a student of law at the University of Oregon in Eu gene, and Ann Lasswell, a grad uate student in psychology and ed ucation at San Francisco Stale Col lete in San Francisco, are home for Easter vacation. Word has been received from Oregon City of the arrival ol a son. Kenneth tale, born to Mr. and Mrs. Dale DeMacon. Mrs. DcMa con will be remembered as Patty Morin. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Morin. Guests at the Clair Thorton home recently were Mr, and Mrs. Jim Grindley and two children of Seattle. Parents Visited Mr. and Airs. Merle Mulkey and family of Salem spent a recent weekend visiting at the parental Kenneth Mulkey home. Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Payne and daughter are visiting relatives in Nebraska for a couple of weeks. Mrs. Keta Bolin of Sandy is vis iting her son-in-law and daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Jackson in Scotts Valley. Among those from out of town coming to attend the funeral of Rhoda Rychard were Mr. and Mrs. Cassius Rychard. -Mr. and Mrs. Paul Rychard and Phil Ry chard from Lakevicw, Mr. and Mrs. Don Cox, Robert Davis and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Rada baugh from Eugene. Mr. and Mrs. Homer McKirdy and family from Blue River visit ed relatives and friends in Hay hurst valley last week. Mrs. Dora Bcnner of Days Creek, visited friends recently. Named High Priest PORTLAND (AP) Oregon Royal Arch Masons wound up their annual convention here Wed nesday after electing Harry Young of Portland high priest. E.W. Peterson of Salem was named treasurer, Simeon Sawyer of Lakeview was elected scribe and Claude Sanders of Winchest er Bay captain of host. FUN NIGHT, DINNER SET The Glide Community Club will hold a potluck dinner and fun night at 6:30 p.m. April 22 at the Community Hall. The purpose of the event is to raise money for refinishing the floors and roller skating, reports Mrs. Arthur Sel by, correspondent.
