Members and guests attending the buffet are requested to bring a prepared dish of their favorite recipe with a copy of that recipe. Officors Elected New officers for the coming year were elected at a recent meeting of the Umpqua Home Extension Unit. Harvey Timm and Mrs. Tom Sut ton. Members of the unit helped prepare tne meal. A report on Scotland was given by Mrs. James Archer, ACWW chairman. Scotland is the country being studied this year. It was reported that the unit's donation for an Oregon State Col lege scholarship has been paid. Plans were made for a landscap ing exhibit at the Spring Festival in Roseburg April 21. Announce ment that the chaplain from the Children's Farm Home in Corval lis will speak at the Oakland Church of Christ Sunday at 2:30 p.m., was made. It was also an nounced that a program on social security will be sponsored by the Riverside unit April 19. The May meeting will be a dem onstration on "Outdoor Meals,'1 to be presented by Mrs. Lola Haines, Mrs. Evelyn Karlinger and Mrs. Grace Crouch. Place and time will be announced later. Falls Jury Chosen To Hear Murder Trial KLAMATH FALLS (AP) A jury was selected Wednesday to hear the first degree murder trial of William Olen Gairson, 40, a cattle feeder, who is accused of killing 11-month-old Gary Lee Bur- sik last Dec. 17 by beating the baby's head against the floor. The child was a son of Mrs. Ethel Breeding Bursik, with whom Gairson said he was living. Before the jury was completed. 65 persons were questioned. Of that number 39 were dismissed by Judge James M.
