The Dallas research brought
some benefits to a few men given
vaccines made from their own tu
mors. Most sigmlicanuy, nine men
treated showed an increase in anti
bodies, substances in the blood
which can altack the cancer cells.
This work was reported by J. W.
Finney. Russell II. Wilson. M. D.
and Ph. I)., and Ernest II. Byers,
Ph. D., of the Veterans Adminis
tration Hospital at Dallas.
Their new findings support the
results of Drs. John and Ruth
Graham, husband and wife of
Itoswell Park Memorial Institute.
Buffalo, N.Y., who for several
years have used self-vaccines on
at least 150 patients.
Some of the 150 patients have
benefitted, with a few living for
three years beyond the time they
might expectably have died, the
Grahams reported.
"A main goal is: What can we
do for patients." Dr. Wilson said,
describing vacine experiments on
15 men, all of whom suice have
died.

eoh R. Dischino. an admitted
bigamist, kept two wives and four

ern Massachusetts community
and cost Dischino his job.
The wives also were stunned,
Obanheim said.
In Lee District Court here
Dischino pleaded guilty to bigamy
and was held in S70O bail.
Dischino, 15 years on the high
school faculty, is 37. Short, dark
and stocky, he is a mild man
nered man who wears glasses.
Obanheim said Dischino divided
his nights between the two homes
and used a part-time job at a
South Lee resort to explain his
absences.
The teacher married the first
.Mrs. Dischino. Alary, 15 years
ago at Wellesley. They had three
children ranging in age from 3i
to 9.
The second wife, Obanheim
said, was -Margaret Burnhop of
Waterburv. Conn., whom Dischino
married July 28. 1958 at Elkton,
Md. She remained in Connecticut
until after a child was born last
September, the chief said.
Then she moved to Stockbridge,
adjoining Lee, where the first
Mrs. Dischino resides.
Besides civics, he was an assist
ant basketball coach at Lee High
School.

Castro Aide Denies Part

Fidel Castro here has de
nied that he helped plan a flight
by two Americans to Cuba in an
attempt to discredit the L.S. gov
ernment. William Schergales, one of the
two Americans who flew from
Florida .March 21, save L'.S. in
vestigators a sworn statement
charging that Juan Orta and other
Cuban officials consnired with him
in rigging the supposedly illegal
flight.
"I don't know Schergales and
don't have anything to do with
him," said Orta. one of Castro's
personal secretaries.
"The only thing I know about

The pro-Castro press reported

LA GRANDE (AP) - The Cove
High School District again has
rejected annexalion with the La
firande School District. The vole
Friday's election was 165 to 127.
It was the second time fli less
than a month that thj Cove dis
trict had refused to join the larger
one. .After the first negative vote,
owners of property with about 70
per cent of the assessed valuation
of the district petitioned to be
annexed individually.
The county school reorganization
committee will act on these peti
tions later this week.

Ralph Yarborough (D-Tex) said
today it's up to Timothy J. Mur
phy to prove he is a Democrat if
lie expects to fill a party vacancy
on the Interstate Commerce Com
mission. Murphy, a Boston lawyer and
former national commander of the
Veterans of F'oreign Wars, was
named to a Democratic vacancy
on the ICC by President Eisenhow
er on March 14.
Murphy seconded the renomina
tion of Vice President Richard M.
Nixon at the Republican conven
tion in 1956. Some Democrats
have raised a question whether lie
should represent their parly.
Yarborough, a member of the
Senate Interstate Commerce Com
mittee before which Murphy's
nomination is pending, said he
doesn't think "a man who voles
for Republicans is a Democrat."
