The Development Fund, a non profit corporation organized by alumni to channel gifts to the University received $42,921.28 through 111 is campaign lasi year. This is an increase of 79.6 per cent over 1958. The 1.428 alumni who sent gifts represents an in crease of 50.2 per cent over the previous year. End Of Forest 'Raids' Provision Of Measure WASHINGTON (AP) The House Interior Committee ap proved this week a hill to end what its sponsor called a raid on valuable tracts of national forest and park lands. The bill would revoke the right of individuals to reclaim tracts of land once relinquished to the gov ernment under an 1897 law per mitting owners to select an equal acreage of vacant public land elsewhere.
