Elected to serve with her were Trudy Williams, vice president; PcRgy Myers, secretary; and Lu Schuck. treasurer. The Boy Scouts of I roop 4.it pre- sented and retired the colors, and ' the (ireen School chorus, under the direction of Mrs. Margaret Au stin, sang a group of numbers. They were accompanied by Mrs. Friday at the piano. A movie, "Anger at Work" was shown, which showed the effect of anger tensions on the human me chanism. It also explained the long ran chain re-action which such tensions place upon families and friends of one who is suffering from such tensions. Room count awards were won by Mrs. Bradley's third grade and Keith Huscn's fifth grade. Announcement was made of the ladies' volleyball group which meets at the Green School gym on Thursday evenings at 7:30 and an invitation extended to all ladies of the community who are interested in this type of recreation to attend the sessions. Laurence Pine has gone to Los Angeles, Calif., for a week where he will attend a dis trict meeting of officers of the Mis sionary Church Assn., western dis trict. Andrew Gih. of China, who spoke al the North Openings Noted For Scout Event District Scout executive Phil Meagher announced recently that six more openings are available for boys wishing to attend the Boy Scout Golden Anniversary. The announcement was made at a meeting of the Douglas Kir Dis trict committee of the Boy Scouts of America ir the Gold Room of the Umpqua Hotel. He pointed out that this is a once-in-a lifetime opportunity for a boy to meet and camp with over 50,000 hoys from every state and manv foreign countries at the Denver meet July 22-28. Special guest George Alexander, Boy Scout Council Executive, call ed attention to the Jubilee Scout Capades to be held March 25 and 26 at McArthur Court in Eugene. He said this is a good opportunity for the general public to learn about the scouting program.
