That means the harvesting sea son will be shorter because of weather. Logging will be a "highball" operation. We must have roads. One of the most important roads, whereby logs may bc0brought from the high mountains, is the North L'mpqun road. EASTER SALES PROSPECTS BRIGHT o Economists who advise business are predicting retail clothing salesfor the Easter season will set new records. Some of our people object strenuously to "ccujimcrcial izing" religious holidays, o But the pracliijal experience is that it is traditional to buy new "outfits" for Easter to appear in new clothing. Clothing merchants, therefore, look upon the season as one of the profitable periods of the year. The holiday comes late this year, Afiril 17. Most peo ple will have completed their income tax forms. It is becoming increasingly evident that income tax re quirements are most seriously depressing economy until after April 1. 0 But with the late dale for the holiday, the proitiecls of brighter wealftur, the coming of spring, and a .relief from tax worry, every indication is that the Spring Opening, the clothing event of the the Easter season, will go ovcr bigger this year than ever before. on a rail. ; his fingernails.
