Former Yoncalla Resident
Dies In Hot Springs, S. D.

Funeral services for Wallace Le

Recovering At Home
Ernest Warner is recuperating
in his home south of Yoncalla after
spending several days in the Cot
tage Grove Hospital, receiving
treatment for a pinched nerve in
his neck.
Tom Holla mon was taken to the
Douglas County Community Hospit
al in Roseburg recently for medic
al treatment.
The Rev. Austin McGhee is re
ceiving medical treatment in the
Sacred Heart Hospital in Eugene.
The Rev. Meredith Groves, district
superintendent of the Methodist
Church, preached in the Rev. Mr.
McGhee'i place recently at the
Yoncalla Methodist Church,
The Yoncalla Telephone Central
office has been moved across the
street from the old location to a
room recently redecorated in the
L. Thompson home, managers of
the Yoncalla Exchange.
During the past meeting of Rice
Valley Home Extension Unit, Mrs.
Mary Fletcher, county home exten
sion agent, gave a talk on "Good
Weight for Good Health."
The club voted to give $15 to
end of the year.
Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Bnan and
family have moved from Roseburg
to Yoncalla and are residing in
the Mathis house on Mathis Hill.
Mrs. Meta Long and daughter
and Vincent McElmurry and fam
ily of Roseburg have moved to
Yoncalla for permanent residence.
Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Moore and
Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Cockeram have
purchased the Burns Ranch west
of Yoncalla and are cleaning it
up to move in the near future.
Harry Abbott, who drives a truck
for the Dean Van lines, was home
for a few days with his family recently.
