Blue And Gold Banquet Held At Canyonville Close to 10O interested parents and friends of Canyonville Cub Scout Troop 125 attended the an nual Blue and Gold banquet held Tuesday evening at the Commu nity Building in Canyonville. The Rev. Cyril Dorset! gave the invocation after which a potluck ham dinner was served by den mothers assisted by the Boy Scouts of Troop 125. Awards were pre sented by Cubmaster James Han rock who introduced the speaker of the evening, Frank Norton, chairman of the Douglas Fir Dis trict. He talked of the scouting program and said that lack of enough leadership slowed the growth of the organization. Awards were presented to Joe Adams, Bnira House, James Brink and Dick'lilam, Mike Ras mussen, Max Adams, Robert Ol son and John Aaronson. The altar was beautifully decor ated in the white and blue theme chosen by the bride to enhance the beauty of her wedding. Four large candelabras and the glow candles in the windows provided the soft candle-light setting for the cere mony.
