Today is the 110th anniversary of

battle for women's rights, which
began in this trim little central
New York village. I
On July 19, 1948, a group of
strong-willed women and a hand-j
ful of brave men sat down in the
Wesleyan Methodist Church and
hammered out agreement on a
women's bill of rights.
The movement had many roots,

Child Causes Anxious
Moments In Cincinnati
CINCINNATI I H was an
agonizing five minutes for onlook
ers in downtown Cincinnati yester
day, but Alma Lee Sanders, 17
months oid, just thought it was
fun.
The youngster stretched, waved
her arms, looked around, sat down
and dangled her feet, laughed and
shouted: "Look at the doggy."
She was pointing at the dog in
the street four floors below her
apartment home. The girl had
climbed out a window to a narrow
ledge while her mother slept.
A workman in the street ran up
stairs to hammer on the apartment
door, wake Mrs. Lois Sanders and
get her daughter inside.
