GIVEN AT WOMAN'S CLUB
The spirit of Christmas was In
the air as the Roseburg Woman's
Club members gathered for the
last meeting of 19J7. There were
, many interesting packages to be
presented to the Veterans Admin-1
istration (pr distribution.

two beautiful chalk paintings. The
first picture portrayed Christmas
Island and was done during the
rendition of the musical selection
of the same title. The second was
a Bethlehem scene drawn while
several familiar Christmas songs
were sung.

the girls placed special ornaments
which they had made, on the
Christmas tree, as their gift te the
club.

tion from the club.

gift party. Many gay and appro
priate games were enjoyed and
the birthday honoree was Marge

lucky number for the lovely quilt
made by the ladies. Last year Ihe
Gay Ladies raised enough funds
from their projects to send a crip
pled child to the F.a-ter Seal Camp.
Future pUnt will determine what
will be sponsored with the funds

Christmas stories were read by

evening was the performance of
"Mr. and Mrs. Sputnik" from the
"Moon." This was done by Mrs.

league formal dance held Satur
day night at the West Side School
auditorium in West Sutherlin.
