nual Christmas party held ot Evergreen Grange
Hall Saturday night. Covers were placed for 165.
The evening entertainment of music, dancing ond
cords was enjoyed. Santa Clous arrived and pre
sented gifts ond candy to everyone. Edwin Nolte,
manager of Montgomery WaVd Company store
here, acted as master of ceremonies. Bob Robins
presented his sophomore singing sextette from
Roseburg Senior High School in several numbers.
In charge of the affair were Mrs. H. L. Schoeffer,
Mrs. Tom Meehon, Mrs. Ruby Tucker, Robert

NEW OFFICERS of the Roseburg Joy-C-Ettes were installed Wednesdoy night at the
annual Christmas party by the immediate past president of the club, Mrs. William Allen.
New officers are Mrs. Richard Frey, vice president; Mrs. Earl T. Cone Jr., secretary; Mrs.
Del Mobley treasurer, and Mrs. Joseph Agost, president, pictured above from left to
right. The party was held ot the Episcopal Parish Hall with Mrs. Charles Wright, Mrs.
Artiur Wilson and Mrs. Gtne Foley in charge of arrangements.
The social hour was followed by
a lovely turkey dinner served
from a beautifully decorated table.

THE ANNUAL CHRISTMAS PARTY of the Independent
Order of Foresters took place Saturday night ot the River
side School. Santa Claus appeared and distributed candy
and gifts. The program included a talent show by students
from the Joy Powell Dance Studio. Above is Maria Burt,
a talented toe dancer, who participated in the Christmas
program. Members and friends enjoyed the occasion.
Christmas carols were sung and refreshments were served.
A donation of $25 ' was given by the group toward the
fund for Christmas baskets for needy families. (Picture
