Combined Picnic Plan Of Wilbur, Sutherlin Methodist Churches Bv MRS. LEWIS BINTLIFF The Sutherlin and Wilbur Metho dist churches have set Aug. 18 as the date for a combined picnic for the two churches. The Dicnic site will be announced at the services this Sunday. Mexico Visited Mrs. Mac Miller spent last week visiting the Lloyd Harvey home and Mrs. Emma Harvey at Wil bur. Sunday the group drove to Yoncalla for a family reunion of the Williams family. Mrs. Miller, who is returning from a trip into Mexico, went on to My rile Point Monday to visit relatives there be fore returning home. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Tucker and family drove to Crescent City and Smith River, Calif., last week to see relatives there. Raymond and Larry Sabala are hnuseguesls of the Boni Yraguen family at their home in Winchester this week. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Sweet and son. Rusty, drove to the North Umpqua to Diamond Lake and Crater Lake on n short vacation recently. They visited Klamath Kalis and Med ford on their way home. It was the sixth successive week of increase. At $6.39 the Dun & Bradstreet wholesale food price in dex was at its highest level since June 1955, and 4.8 per cent higher than in the like week last year. The index represents the total cost at wholesale of one pound each of 31 basic food items. Last week it stood at $6.37. Higher this week were wheat, corn, rye, oats, hams, butler, milk, cocoa, potatoes, steers and hogs. Lower were flour, bellies, lard, sugar, coffee, cottonseed oil, eggs and Iambs.
