builder of the Pelton Dam on the
Deschutes River, said the dam
will he renamed at a dedication

Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Lilly plan
to continue to make their home
here. Mrs. Lilly is presently in Eu-1

Brown came by ship and re
ceived his discharge at Ft. Lewis,
Wash. Albert Uroughton, who en
tered the service at the same time,
and is now stationed at Ft. Lewis
brought him home and was ac
companied back lo his station by
Mrs. Broughton and their daugh
ter who had been visiting her par
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Cyphcrt.
Mr. and Mrs. Cowley and their
two daughters came from Ger
many to New York by plane. In
New York they purchased a car
and drove across the continent,
stopping in Arkansas to visit rela
tives. Shortly after their arrival
home the family drove to Burns
to visit Mrs. Cowley's parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Earl Smith, who moved
lo Eastern Oregon last fall. Both
of the men plan to attend Oregon
Technical Institute at Klamath
Falls next year.
