Mrs. John f Millie) Closson was
re-elected president of the Dillard
School PTA for the coming school
year at the last meeting.
Other officers elected were: Mrs.
Clifford White, first vice president;
Mrs. Charles McCord, second vice
president and program chairman;
Mrs. Bill Shapro, secretary, and
Mrs. Halys Spurgeon, treasurer.
Under the leadership of Mrs.
Closson during the past year the
Dillard PTA has given a total of
$335 in scholarships which are for
a full scholarship to the State for
a prospective elementary teacher
and a $160 scholarship to Douglas
High School for a local deserving
senior. In addition to the scholar
ships. S365 was donated to the
school for the purchase of various
items.
At the meeting John Cox. Doug

ent, gave a short explanation of
the proposed district 116 budget
and Principal C. A. Dysinger an
nounced the Polio Clinic will be
held at the Dillard School April 12.
