the way, with Myrtle Creek hold
ing the upper hand almost through
out. The first period ended 81. Suth
erlin jumped out to a 14-10 advan
tage, but by halftime, Uie winners
had pulled ahead 20-17 behind
Wayne Best's three long shots and
four poults br center John Losey.
Myrtle Creek took charge in the
third period and by the end of the
quarter held a nine-point lead.
They were unable to stretch this
at any time though, but the cushion
held up at the finish. -
The Vik also took a close jay
ve gam 23-22. Dudley Klimback
and Greg Lindquist led the win
ners with seven points apiece
while Jeff Tucker bad 10 for Sutherlin.
