Mrt. Nellie McCems, Portland,
formerly of Roseburg, has been
quite ill at her home, but it now
much improved. Mrs. McComs hat
been a frequent visitor to Rose
burg since she left here to make
her home in Portland.
Mrs. Ivan Pickens has returned
to her home here, following a trip
to Coos Bay with Mr. and Mrs.
John McClintock of Portland,
where they visited Mrs. K. H.
Pickens and Mr. and Mrt. Brewer
Mills and family, after which the
McClintockt returned home via the
coast route.
Mr. and Mrt. Etper Burghardt
and son. Lee. left last week for
California and Mexico. They stop
ped in Eureka, then went to Brent
wood, calif., to visit tne Burg
hardts' son and daughter-in-law,
Mr. and Mrs. Bradley Burghardt,
and family. Lee Burghardt expects
to stay in Brentwood to go to cot
lege and his parents intend to go
on to Mexico to transact business.

recently as the guests of Mrs. Bi
