lis Hackleman, Grants Pass, visit

home Tuesday. A tentative date
for the court of awards was set
for March IS at the Methodist
church in Yoncalla. Ways and
means to raise money for the budg
et for the coming year were dis
cussed. The next meeting will be held
Feb. 7 at the home of Mrs. Mildred
Chapman.

that his mother, Mrs. Mary Schier
meister had died suddenly in Lodi,
Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Schiermeister 1
and children. John. Tom and Kathy
returned Jiome Saturday night
from the hurried trip to the fu
neral. This trip was made immediately
following the tragedy of Schier
meister's relative, Woodro Chase
of MyrtW Point who was killed in
the car accident at vuiDur.
From North Dakota
Mr. and Mrs. Munro Chase of
hebron, N. D., visited Chase's
uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Cal
Srhiermeister in Dillard.
Mrs. Ed Welch returned to her
home on Lookingglass Road Sun
day evening following a two-week
vacation in southern California.
She was called to San Diego due
to the illness of her parents, Mr.
and lUts. C. H. Crouch. She went
to Los Angeles to visit her brother,
Howard Crouch and family.
Randy Lee McAllister, small son
of Mr, and Mrs. Jim McAllister,
is recuperating from an attack of
pneumonia.
