McCarthy Advises Ike To Get Rid Of His Advisers

ord "would be much better" with
out some of its advisers, including
the President's brother, Dr. Milton
S. Eisenhower.
McCarthy, who has been at odds
with the White House, told news
men he plans to do some cam
paigning for Republicans in the
!19;S election campaign. But he
said he can't go along entirely with
the view expressed bv some strat
egists that the GOP should bid for
voles mainly on the administra
tion's record".
"If they would get rid of the
Paul Hoffmans. the Harold Stas
sens and the .Milton Eisenhowers,
the record would be much belter,"
.McCarthy said.
All three have declined comment
on previous similar criticism by
.McCarthy. Of the trio, only Stassen
holds a government position. He
is President Eisenhower's special
assistant on disarmament.

ton Eisenhower, president of Penn-

i sion for his brother.
