Elkton Coupla Fails To
Bear Stork's Arrival

Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Sneed, who
i live three miles south of Elkton on
I highway 225, failed to beat the
I stork. Starting out for a Cottage
lirove Hospital, they decided time
was too short and stopped at
Mrs. Sneed's mother's home, Mrs.
Viva Dement in Elkton.
The baby girl, Judy Kaye, weight
pounds, arrived at 10:15 p.m.
Oct. 17. A doctor who visited moth
er and baby later announced both
doing fine.
Mr. and Mrs. George Bowman
have been visiting in Spokane.
Wash., with Ronnie Henderer and
Lerov Henderer and families.
Maude McClay and Jennie
Haines are staying at the Charles
Solomon home while the Solomons
are on a hunting trip.
Del Dungey has been hired as
new high school teacher in Elk
ton. He is teaching science, math
and boys P.E. Dungey will contin
ue to live in Drain.
I.orena and Ann Binder spent
several days in Elkton this last
week. Ann is attending high
school near Orick, Calif.

education, attracted nearly 300 stu-1
dents. Some 25 stood up to hear the
discussion after all the chairs in i
the chemistry lecture room had
been filled.
The class is the first in a scries
of three planned this month by i
Markshcffcl, who is a specialist in
this field. The other two are sched-1
tiled Oct. 26 and 27. They are held
during open periods so all inter-'
