Clendale Family Goes To Portland

Mrs. Robert Young of Glcndale
drove to Eugene and Portland last
wpok, leaving hero Thursday and
returning Saturday.
She look her son, B.ibby, to an
orlhodonist in Eugene, and her
son. Ronnie, to Portland to see an
asthma specialist. Ronnie is re
ported to have made excellent im
provement in his aslhma condi
tion and will not have to report
back for another year.
Fractures Thumb
Nancy Kay Furlong, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Riley Furlong of
Olendale, fractured her thumb in
, the car door Saturday evening.
She was treated at the Glandale
Clinic.
Mr. and Mrs. John Hicks of
Dixon, 111., have arrived to spend
a week or two visiting with his
nephew, Clyde Marriott, and fam
ily in Glcndale.
Dewayno J'hiessen and his wife
and son from Dallas and A. 1..
l'hiessen and wife and three chil
dren from Eugene visited this
weekend with their sister, Mrs.
Ivan Rartle, in Olendale.
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Rcid of
Glcndale will be moving to their
new home in Grants Pass within
a few days. The home is at 250
Marilce Road near the Grants
Pass City Park.
Mrs. Charles Ellis of Clendale
was transferred last week from a
Cottage Grove Hospital to the one
in Grants Pass. Mrs. Ellis suffered
a severe heart attack at Cottage
Grove a month ago.
Mr, and Mrs. J. Hummel from
I.os Angeles visited the Renus Mi
chel family near Glcndale recent
ly-
Don Grey, who recently broke
his neck in two places, was re
leased from the Forest Glen Hos
pital in Canyonville Sunday. He is
wearing a neck cast.
Ward Kinman was treated at the
Glendale Clinic Monday for a cut
he received when his power saw
kicked out of the tree on which
he was working and struck him on
the leg. 't hree stitches were requir
ed to close the wound. Kinman was
working for Morgan and Provost
at Wolf Creek.
