Trip

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Amann and
sons, Eugene and Duane, left wed
, nesday on a three-weeks vacation
trip. The tot stops will be made
in Salt Lake City, Utah, and Yel
lowstone National Park. The fam
ily will then drive to Houston, Tox.
to visit Mrs. Amann's mother, Mrs.
Vora Walker.
Thejr will return home via the
southern route stopping at Los An
geles and San Franciscoj to visit
friends. Amann has employed John
Suhrstedt, son of Tim Suhntedt,
to assist in the operation of his
service station during his absence.
Visitors From Nevada
Mrs. Stanley Baldwin and chil
dren. Kenneth and Kimberly, of
Las Vegas, Nev., arrived the latter
part of June to visit her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Ball.
The Rev. Karl Faulkner is still
confined to his home. He suffered
an infected cut in his right leg.
His niece Miss Judy Moore of Rose
burg is caring for him.

Los Angeles visited the Clyde Ken
yon family at Melrose recently.
The former are Clyde's parents
and Ralph is his brother. Clyde
Kenvon is in Mercy Hospital re
covering from surgery. He will be
taken to Swedish Hospital in Se
attle Tuesday for treatment by his
son, Raold Stroup.

of "the misery she has caused
me."
Calvert S. Wilson's bequest came
to light in a handwritten will en
tered for probate by attorneys for
Wilson's "childhood sweetheart,"
to whom he loft half his estate.
Attorneys estimated the estate
left by Wilson, 49, restaurant sup
ply firm operator, at $30,000. The
will, dated May 21, left the other
half of his estate to his children,
Brenda, 14, and Tamara, 11.
The will read:
"To my childhood sweetheart,
Mrs. Algene Hoskins, of Southern
Pines, N.C. for a love and a faith
that has lived undiminished for 40
years and because she has been
my inspiration and encouragement
in most of the worthwhile things I
have accomplished in this life
I leave the other half of my estate
and do hereby appont her executrix."

Freight Piles Up On Dock
In Vancouver Strike
VANCOUVER, B. C. W-Freight
earmarked for scores of commu
nities along the British Columbia
coastline piled up on the Vancou
ver waterfront Wednesday as the
strike of 330 seamen against
Union Steamships Ltd., entered its
fourth day.
An airlift was In operation from
Prince Rupert, 500 miles north
west of Vancouver, to Moresby
Island in the Queen Charlotte
group, where about 400 loggers
were reported facing a shortage
of fresh meat.
Canadian Pacific Airlines began
flying 10 tons of meat to Moresby
Tuesday and was scheduled to
complete the lift Wednesday.
