The agreement, which averted a
threatened strike, calls for a 10
cent hourly wage increase as of
June 1, 10 cents more May 1 next
vear, and 12 cents more May 1,
1957.
A union spokesman said the new
contract would include improved
welfare clauses.
The old scale for the workers,
members of the AFL Teamsters
union, was $1.82 Vt to $1.93 va per
hour.
