ducted into .YM's Notional Indian Guides Fathers ond
Sons Program Thursday night. Twenty-one dads and 24
sons participated ot ceremony in Roseburg Armory. Don
Naden, local YMCA executive secretary, served as first
induction "chief." Youth 'program seeks to develop com
panionship between 'fathers and sons. Boys in the three
tribes, Calapooia, Chinook and Toketee, were awarded
emblem insignios. Tribes meet throughout year and mem

Woman Returns To Dixonville Home

Mis. Edith Brauch has returned
to the home of her daughter, Mrs.
Mildred Spencer on the Sunshine
Road, after a two weeks period in
Community Hospital with a virus
condition. Her condition is much
improved.

Mrs. Roy Hatfield states that
her son, R. V. Hatfield, has been
released from a Louisana hospital,
and that he is now in Corpus Chris
ti, Tex. He and Mrs. Hatfield and
their three children will leave Wed
nesday for Oregon for a visit with
their families. Both Hatfield and
his wife have just recovered from
a year's seigc with polio.
