Sets Work Day

ground improvement committee
met at the grado school Friday
night. They set a work day, April
23 starting at 9 a.m. The work
wiH be all volunteer effort aimed
at beautifying the school grounds.
Anyone is welcome to help. Work
ers are asked to bring s sack

coffee wiU be served.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dorsing, who
recently returned from Arabia
where Dorsing has been affiliated
with an oil company; Mrs. Mike
Williams (PhyUis Wright) of Salt
Lake City, Utah; Mr. and Mrs.
Morris Jimenez and daughter of
Ashland and Mr. and Mrs. Lei
Wright and family of Eugene vis
ited at the parental Dan Wright
home last week.
Mrs. Lydia Emmett of North
Bend is visiting her daughter, Mrs.
Stanley Spurling, and family.
The Rev. and Mrs. R. W .Knight
spent several days last week at
the beach.

car truck and wood shed.
Lt. Don Cox, who recently re
turned after spending a year in
Korea, Mrs. Cox and baby visited
at the Luther Daughterly home
last week. Lt. Cox is now stationed
t CamD Pendleton. Calif.
Mr. and Mrs. Al Hoffman (pent
the weekend visiting Hoffman's
mother at Cornelius.
Mr. and Mrs. William Birch of
Point Baker, Alaska, spent lost
weetc visiting at tine Ed Kelso
home. Mrs. Birch and Mrs, Kelso
were school friends.
John and Diana Merk of Eugene
pent last week visiting their Brand-
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Day in
Scotts Valley.
Golden Kruse left Tuesday with
her brother and sister-in-law, Mr.
and Mrs. J. R. Sowles, of Curtin
for a month's visit with Mrs.
Kruse' and Mr. Sowles' brother in
Muskegon, Mich.
Mr. and Mrs. Elton Grass and
family of Lookinggiasi attended
the family night dinner and film at
the Yoncalla Methodist Church
