Census Takers Score
100 In Traffic Safety
COBVALLIS Wl The census of
agriculture in Western Oregon has
been completed. Officials say a
traffic safety record may have
been set while taking it.
Although 270 workers drove over
a quarter million miles in the past
three months, not one was involved
in a traffic accident, Don Mote,
supervisor, said. The enumerators
traveled every road in the western
18 counties of the state to inter
view 45,000 farmers in making the
census, Mote said.

Wednesday evening at the Veter
ans Memorial Building in Oakland
to give all children a treat who

party will be held at the building
rather than at the community

party at the hall. Each member
is asked to bring a package for
a needy family instead of gift ex
